This reference from the
MeisterMed QuickTool
series uses the Data Tables of the National Health and
Nutrition Examination Survey from the Center for Disease
Control and Prevention - the same data used to create
pediatric growth charts - to help you quickly estimate your
patients percentile for height, weight, head circumference,
and body mass index. It includes data for patients
from birth through 20 years of age. While charting
progress on a growth chart is useful when providing ongoing
care, sometimes it's useful when seeing a patient for an
urgent care or emergency visit to know just where they fall
on the curve. This QuickTool is so much easier than
pulling out a growth chart and plotting the height, weight,
and head circumference. Check it out!
