Adapted from the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association guideline update published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Circulation in 2002.  Includes a useful flow chart and algorithms to help determine who should undergo cardiovascular assessment prior to surgery.  Also discusses pre-operative management of cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias,  conduction abnormalities, and pacemakers.  Well-organized and handy.
