CodeMeister was introduced in
2001 for Palm OS PDA's. It included a hand-picked subset
of ICD-9 billing codes chosen to meet the needs of primary care
physicians. Every year CodeMeister was updated with the
new ICD-9 codes and was refined based on customer feedback to
make it better and better year after year. Customers
responded and word of mouth spread until CodeMeister became a
leading coding tool for the PDA.
In 2004, MeisterMed introduced ICDMeister.
ICDMeister is a ICD-9 coding reference for PDA that includes all
15,000+ ICD-9 codes. It also includes improved formatting
such as the Most Common Diagnosis lists which make it even
faster and easier to find your code.
Current Events
In 2004 and 2005, MeisterMed
released both CodeMeister and ICDMeister in parallel:
CodeMeister as a smaller, faster coding reference and ICDMeister
as a more comprehensive reference. With time it became
clear that, between these two products, ICDMeister was the clear
winner. Nearly all (95%+) of CodeMeister users who tried
ICDMeister preferred ICDMeister.
Taking this into account, with
the 2006 coding year, MeisterMed made the difficult decision to
discontinue CodeMeister. Our customers had spoken and
preferred ICDMeister by a large majority. As a small
company, MeisterMed has only a fixed amount of time available
for updating products and developing new ones. We decided
to discontinue CodeMeister in order to pour our full efforts
into improving ICDMeister.
If you haven't tried ICDMeister yet, download a free trial
today. You will likely discover what most all of our
CodeMeister users have discovered, that ICDMeister is the best
available ICD-9 coding reference for your Palm OS or PocketPC
PDA.
